Nosing: Sherry Fig Dried Fruit Nutmeg Chocolate Plum Floral it's very "chocolatey" a rich sweetness with darker chocolate in the background lingering. Dark red fruit, fig jam, plum, but not very "wine"-y, like a lot of sherried casks.

Taste: Honey Cake Chocolate on arrival, then Sherry Fig Nuts even more Chocolate , obviously Sherry and Dried Fruit

Finish: Coffee very lightly, Dark Chocolate Nuts

Comment: I read previously that this is a "budget Macallan" and that doesn't do it justice...while it's from the same family or DNA of Macallan (notably that signature chocolatey richness that accompanies Macallan), this has a fantastic, more well rounded nose, and less sherry forward (though still evidently there) flavors.
