In the land of the Bretons the old traditions are held up, so these now French people decided to create a special Single Malt Whisky. To make the whisky the distillery used a lot of different cask types with different ages.
Mystères de l'âme...
The heavily peated Benriach Curiositas shows a thick cloud of smoke. After the smoke is gone you find some smoothness and sweetness that is being replaced by spices. The finish comes with a bit of peat smoke again and a slight bitterness.
Looking out the windows of the Bowmore distillery, you can see the rock 'Black Rock' in the distance. It gave the bottling its name. The Black Edition was matured for the most part in Spanish sherry casks.
