The Klondike River is a famous gold-digging region in Yukon, Canada. At the end of the 19th century, America was in a great financial crisis and many people tried their luck with the search for gold in the Klondike. Actual 500 tons of gold were found in the Yukon territory until now. The eponymous Cocktail is often garnished with gold leaf.
