There are many theories about how the Cocktail Irish Rose got its name. They include a Country song as well as a Broadway comedy.
But it is certain, that it is connected to Ireland. Therefore the Cocktail is prepared with an Irish Whiskey, that does not overpower the sweet grenadine and the fresh lemon juice.
