This is a limited edition bottling of the Knockdhu distillery under the brand of An Cnoc. The taste is surprisingly smoky with peat. The smoke doesn't dominate the whisky but enhances the fruity aromas and rounds of the finish.

The flaughter spate is used to get rid of the top layer of the peat in the heather. This layer is the most efficient layer to produce the smoke.
Nose: At the beginning smoke and ash. Later soft and sweet with creamy notes.
