This special bottling marks the start of the Contrast Collection, an annual series of limited-edition whiskies bottled exclusively for Whisky.de.

Each edition of the Contrast Collection is dedicated to an animal that represents the interplay of contrasting characteristics. The series begins with the blackbuck, an elegant antelope whose curved horns and graceful appearance symbolize both strength and grace. Craigellachie The Sovereign – Edition No. 1 comes from the traditional Craigellachie distillery in Speyside and was matured for 15 years in a first-fill sherry hogshead before being bottled exclusively for Whisky.de by the renowned independent bottler Signatory Vintage.

In the glass, this whisky displays Craigellachie's characteristic robust structure and precise cask composition, refined by the fruity depth of the sherry cask.
