White Peak Distillery to launch first whisky in October

The English distillery offers shareholdership via crowdfunding

Max and Claire Vaughn have been running their White Peak Distillery in Derbyshire, England, since 2016. Meanwhile, they have had great success with their Shining Cliff Gin, but they have not lost sight of their original aim: they want to produce whisky and this dream is now within reach: The first White Peak Single Malt Whisky is to be released in October 2021.

“Our journey over the past five years has been incredibly rewarding. We are so proud to have established the Distillery as a recognised, innovative business within the Peak District, whilst winning awards for our spirits within the drinks industry and our visitor experience within our vital local community”, said Max Vaughn.

In order to keep the distillery on the road to success and to expand the business, capital is necessary. It is supposed to come in via a crowdfunding campaign where business shares are offered. The minimum investment target of £ 500,000 that was set at the start of the campaign has already been hit and, looking at the stand right now, has even been doubled.

Anyone interested in becoming a White Peak Distillery investor can find more information here on the Crowdcube platform. The crowdfunding project will be open until April 23, 2021.

From May 22, 2021, the distillery will be welcoming visitors again, offering tours and tastings. Let's hope that traveling around the UK will soon be possible again for tourists from the continent as well.
