Two new limited editions of the smoky Cù Bócan Single Malt Whisky presented

Only 4,200 bottles each are available worldwide

Cù Bòcan is the lightly peated Highland Single Malt Whisky, which is produced in small batches in the Tomatin Distillery each winter. In addition to the signature malt of the Cù Bòcan brand, which is matured in Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry and American virgin oak casks, the Creation series presents limited editions that are batched from varying casks.

This week, Cù Bòcan Creation #3 (Moroccan Cabernet Sauvignon and North American Rye casks) and Cù Bòcan Creation #4 (Tawny Port and Cognac casks) were presented. They join Cù Bòcan Creation #1 (Imperial Stout and Portuguese Moscatel de Setúbal wine casks) and Cù Bòcan Creation #2 (Japanese Shochu and Virgin Oak casks).

The current press release reports on the aroma of the two new Cù Bòcan editions:

„The tastes and smells of a Moroccan Souk are brought to life with the exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon casks used for the Cù Bòcan Creation #3, offering notes of rose water, strawberry and black fig, whilst the North American Rye casks bring the exotic spice, citrus and tropical fruits to the fore.

Cù Bòcan Creation #4 is a nod to The Antrim Cocktail, marrying two of Europe’s most revered drinks, Port and Cognac. The end result is a medley of plum jam, grilled peach, stewed forest fruit, cinnamon and sweet campfire smoke.“

Cù Bòcan Single Malt Whisky is bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration and in natural colour. It is released without an age statement. Both new Creation editions are limited to 4,200 bottles each.
