St. Kilian Distillers to expand management team

Thomas Flothmann will join the German whisky distillery in March 2020


The St. Kilian Distillery in Rüdenau is on expansion course. The management is now being upgraded, too, and Thomas Flothmann has been announced to join the team. The experienced whisky manager will support St. Kilian Distillers from March 1st, 2020.

Thomas Flothmann is already well known in the German whisky scene as a managing director of Slyrs Whisky at the Schliersee. From 2012 to 2017, he was involved in the success of the Bavarian whisky brand, which is one of the pioneers of German whisky. As a graduate in international business administration, Flothmann previously worked in the consumer goods scene in Germany and abroad, including in management positions at Beiersdorf.

Regarding his new job, Thomas Flothmann says: “I am very much looking forward to my future job at St. Kilian and have been following the remarkable progress made by the team in Rüdenau with great respect from the start. The geolocation of St. Kilian Distillers as a visitor distillery could not be better. Almost six million people live within a 90-minute radius, and 70 million passengers use the Rhein Main Airport every year. The City of Frankfurt as a European banking capital and international exhibition center has 10 million overnight stays a year."
