Penderyn starts recruitment for Llandudno Distillery

The new Welsh distillery is due to open this year

Construction of Penderyn's sister distillery, the Llandudno Distillery in North Wales, is proceeding according to plan. After planning permission was granted last year in May (we reported), the renovation of the old building and the construction of the modern extension are nearly finished and the production equipment will soon be delivered. The installations should start by April this year, the Penderyn distillery informs on its homepage. So that the team will be ready for the planned opening in early summer, the recruitment process starts now.

Penderyn invests £ 5m in de Llandudno Distillery and creates 13 new jobs. Before distillers, administration or tour guides will be hired, the first job that is now open for applications is the position of manager for Site & Visitor Centre Manager.

Neil Quigley, Penderyn Director of Operations said: „We want to recruit a strong team to run the operations in Llandudno, and the Site & Visitor Centre Manager role is a really important one in bringing that team together. This person will have responsibility for both the production and visitor elements of the site, and so we’re looking for someone who has experience in operational efficiency as well as marketing and customer relations.

We already have a solid base of loyal customers in North Wales, but having the Distillery and Visitor Centre in Llandudno will put us in a stronger position to further develop our brand and networks across the region and beyond. We’re inviting applications from anyone who has the required experience and who shares our passion for growing the Penderyn brand regionally, nationally and internationally.“
