New: GlenDronach Forgue Aged 10 Years

The distillery in the eastern Highlands unveils its first travel retail-exclusive whisky

Hidden in the hills of the eastern Highlands, nestled in the fertile valley of Forgue, the GlenDronach Distillery has been quietly mastering the art of sherry cask maturation of the finest single malt Scotch whisky since its founding in 1826 and is renowned far beyond Scotland's borders for its excellent craftsmanship. Now the distillery has embarked on a new journey and released its very first bottling exclusively for Global Travel Retail. In order to hold the 10 year old GlenDronach Forgue in your hands, you need a valid airline ticket in addition to your passport. But we are very confident that the new expression will also find its way to us in the online shop - sooner or later.

The GlenDronach Forgue has been matured for 10 years in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, is – as is usual with GlenDronach – neither coloured nor chill-filtered and bottled at 43% abv. "GlenDronach Forgue is a richly sherried single malt with an unashamedly Highland character. Matured in the finest sherry casks, it creates a full aroma of bramble fruit and oak, combined with notes of harvest-ripe barley, as found in Forgue’s rich and fertile landscape," says Master Blender Rachel Barrie.
