Michter’s presents next 10-year-old Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon

The single barrel edition will be launched in May

Michter’s presents the next edition of its popular 10-year-old Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon. The launch is announced in the current press release for May 2020 at a price of $130 in the United States. If and when the launch in European countries will follow is not known yet.

A limited single barrel version of the popular bourbon

The new edition of Michter’s Bourbon 10 Years was bottled at 47.2% (94.4 proof). This whiskey is very limited – which is no surprise for a single barrel bottling. The exact number of bottles is not communicated. As usual, the barrel number can be read on the neck band of each bottle. In case of the new Michter’s Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon 10 years we can read “20C355” on the picture of the bottle given with the press release. Bottles of other editions can sometimes be found in shops, so this number helps to distinguish between the bottlings.

The tasting notes that Michter's presents on its own homepage for the 10-year-old Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon describe the aroma as "Big and bold dark toffee and caramel, charred oak, maple syrup, vanilla”.

In addition to Bourbon, Michter's also produces American Whiskey, Sour Mash Whiskey and Rye Whiskey

The Michter’s Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon 10 Years complements the portfolio of the whiskey label, which includes the Michter’s Kentucky Straight Bourbon, the Michter's Sour Mash, the Michter's American Whiskey and the Michter's Kentucky Straight Rye as standards. In addition to this 10-year-old Single Barrel Bourbon, there are other limited editions like the 10-year-old Kentucky Straight Rye and the 20-year-old Kentucky Straight Single Barrel Bourbon. We presented the latter here in our news. It was named Best Bourbon in the category of 16 to 20-year-old Bourbons by Jim Murray in his Whiskey Bible 2020.
