Limited Edradour and Ballechin charity bottlings presented

Distributor Kirsch Whisky supports the animal welfare organization Sea Shepherd

German distributer Kirsch Whisky wants to support the Sea Shepherd organization by offering two single cask bottlings from the Edradour Distillery as charity releases. A 10-year Edradour from a sherry cask and a 15-year-old Ballechin (the peated whisky line of the distillery) from a "refill Sherry after Islay" were presented yesterday and will be available soon, but only on the German market.

Sea Shepherd: Commitment for the inhabitants of the seas The Sea Shepherd animal welfare and marine conservation organization, founded in 1977 by Captain Paul Watson, is committed to protect the marine wildlife all around the world. They try to stop the slaughter of animals as well as to help preserving their habitat. With five own ships, Sea Shepherd is on its way all around the world, supported by many volunteers from regional, national and independent groups of more than 20 countries like Sea Shepherd Germany e.V., founded in 2010.

Unpeated Edradour and peated Ballechin

The label of the two Edradour bottlings presents the Sea Shepherd’s logo: a skull with a shepherd's staff and Neptune's trident, crossing each other. Both whiskys were bottled at cask strength, unchill-filtered and not colored. Whisky friends can choose between an unpeated Edradour and the smoky counterpart of the distillery, a Ballechin. Or they just take both ...

Distributer Kirsch Whiskey donates 10% of the bottle price to the German Sea Shepherd group.
