Lagavulin and Caol Ila invite you to virtual Fèis-Ìle events

This year's whisky festival on Islay will take place from May 28th to June 6th

The Fèis Ìle is approaching: In the last week of May, the Island of Islay is the hotspot of the whisky scene every year. Events in the distilleries, tours, tastings, musical performances and other items on the program always attracted thousands to the small Hebridean island - until Corona came.

For the second time now, the annual whisky and music festival cannot take place as usual, but it will not be cancelled: The Fèis Ìle will again take place digitally and the distilleries have created an extensive program for the period from May 28th to June 6th, 2021. Up-to-date information on the events is published on the Fèis Ìle website.

During these days, details of the planned program items will be announced, they will be supplemented and implemented on the website and in the festival's social media channels.

Music and whisky at Lagavulin and Caol Ila

Diageo has announced what Lagavulin and Caol Ila will be offering. There will be live streams directly from the distilleries and participants from all over the world can join those hours when whisky and music come together and brand ambassadors and artists host events and perform.

May 29th is Lagavulin Day. The singers Joy and Andrew Dunlop and the Niall Kirkpatrick Ceilidh Band will musically entertain, and Brand Ambassador Ewan Gunn will ensure the whisky is not neglected. The participants will also get to know the whisky island and its fantastic landscape on a short (virtual) hike. Of course, a look behind the scenes of Lagavulin should not be missing: Warehouse Manager Iain McArthur will give an insight into his everyday life.

Caol Ila Distillery will have their big day on May 31st. You can look forward to performances given by the Glasgow artist Patricia Panther and the Islay musicians Mairi McGillvary and Alasdair Currie. Brand Ambassador Ervin Trykowski takes on the role of the distillery host and presents the Caol Ila single malt whisky.

Participation in these virtual Fèis-Ìle events from Lagavulin and Caol Ila is free; those who are interested can find more information on the website.
