Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban now 14 years old

The single malt with a port cask finish has been given two extra years of maturation

The Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban was sold with an age statement of 12 years so far, now there is a 14 on the label: Glenmorangie has extended the maturation time of its popular single malt. The new release will soon reach retailers and shops.

The Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban is part of the Extra Mature Range. A maturation in ex-Bourbon casks (for Glenmorangie Single Malt Whisky only first and second-fill casks are used) is followed by a finish in port wine casks. Different casks sizes are used, from port pipes to small barriques. Casks selection and the finishing process remain unchanged, according to information in a current press release, to preserve the aromatic character that makes Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban so popular.

Packaging and label of the 12-year-old were designed in black, the new 14-year-old bottling of the Quinta Ruban shows in a dark green design.
