Glengoyne Legacy Chapter One - matured in First Fill Oloroso Sherry casks
The first bottling of the series honors Distillery Manager Cochrane Cartwright
With its "Chapter One", Glengoyne has launched the first bottling of its new Legacy series. The limited bottlings of the Legacy series will be dedicated to specific chapters of the Glengoyne history and also to people who have shaped this distillery.
Glengoyne Legacy Chapter One honors former distillery manager Cochrane Cartwright. In 1869 he began his work at Glengoyne and it was his credit that distillation was dramatically slowed down. It was also Cartwright who began maturation in Sherry casks at Glengoyne – one of the key characteristics of Glengoyne Single Malt Whisky Chapter One was matured in First Fill Oloroso Sherry casks. It was bottled without an age statement at 48% ABV, unchill-filtered. It is not known to how many bottles the Glengoyne Chapter One is limited.

Nose: Full and rich, sticky toffee pudding with dates and vanilla custard, warm pear and cinnamon
Taste: Mouth coating and thick; layers of sweet, fruity sherry notes over gentle oak with sultanas and vanilla
Finish: Dried fruits and spice linger in a long, balanced finish
