Glenallachie presents its first core range

10-, 12-, 18- and 25-year-old single malts available

It’s a milestone for Glenallachie: The Speyside distillery launched its first core range ever. It consists of four products: A 10-year-old Glenallachie, bottled at cask strength, and 12-, 18- and 25-year-old single malts with 46% and 48% ABV.

There never have been standard bottlings of Glenallachie Single Malt released by the distillery itself. Even though the whisky is in great demand to be used in blends whiskyfans haven’t often had the chance to get their hands on a bottle of Glenallachie Singel Malt. Chivas released a special bottling in 2005 and from time to time independent bottlers present a Glenallachie in their portfolio as for example Signatory did releasing a 20-year-old Glenallachie last year.

But times are changing and as Glenallachie was bought by Billy Walker, Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson last year the distillery concept was totally revised. About 50.000 casks are stored in the warehouses on site and the oldest of them were filled in the 1970s. The start of the new era was started with the launch of a premium single cask series – strictly limited.
