German Selection by Schlumberger: Limited Single Cask Releases

The new series starts with two Penderyn Single Malts

Special single cask bottlings will enrich the whisky portfolio of Schlumberger Vertriebsgesellschaft. For their creation exeptional casks are chosen in the warehouses of the distributors partner-distilleries und bottled for the German market. No chill-filtration is used and no coloring. The start of the German Selection is marked with the release of two exceptional single malts of the Welsh Penderyn Distillery: An ex-Tawny Port and an ex-Bourbon cask.

Penderyn uses so called Faraday stills which were specially designed for the distillery. They produce a very pure and fruity spirit in only one single distillation process. Whisky production paused for about 100 years in Wales until the Welsh Whisky Company founded Penderyn in the Brecon Beacons. In 2000 the first spirit run out of the still.

Meanwhile Penderyn Single Malt Whisky is internationally well-known and presents a wide portfolio, from the classic Penderyn Madeira Finish to the lightly smoky Celt of the Dragon Series and special releases as the Bryn Terfel. And now there are these two single casks bottlings for Germany:
