Dr. Bill Lumsden awarded Distiller of the Year
Glenmorangie and Ardbeg's ingenious whisky maker is the first to win this ISC award twice
Dr. Bill Lumsden, the driving force behind the successful whisky brands Glenmorangie and Ardbeg, was once again awarded the title "Distiller of the Year" at the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) for his innovation and exceptional craftsmanship. This makes the Director of Whisky Creation, Distilling & Whisky Stocks at Glenmorangie and Ardbeg the first person in the history of the competition to win this prestigious award for the second time after 2015.
In addition to the personal award for the ingenious whisky maker, the jurors also awarded Glenmorangie's single malts. This second release from the exclusive Vintage Collection Bond House No. 1, which was partly finished in ex-Côte-Rôtie wine casks, received one of only two trophies in the category Scotch Whisky – Single Malt 21 Years & Over.
