Big Peat 10 yo presented

Douglas Laing launches limited anniversary bottling

Let’s say "Happy Birthday, Big Peat". For 10 years now, the popular blended malt whisky from Islay has been on market. Celebrating this anniversary, independent bottler Douglas Laing & Co. now releases an anniversary bottling and what could be more appropriate than to present a Big Beat 10 years old?

This special edition is limited to 5,100 bottles, and of course the whisky in uncolored and unchillfiltered as usual with the Laing products. Like the standard edition, the Big Peat 10 yo offers an alcohol content of 46% ABV.

A special bonus for the Big Peat fans is a small booklet that accompanies each bottle of this edition. "It tells the legend of Big Peat and its whiskey adventures,"telling the legend of Big Peat and his Whisky adventures” according to the press release that also presents the

producer’s tasting notes:

Nose: Peat smoke, damp earth and leaves with a peppery warmth
Palate: Smoked barley and BBQ ash, a sea-salt tang balanced by a leathery sweetness
Finish: Long with streaky bacon, tobacco, toasted marshmallows and charred wood

Recently Big Peat  26 yo released

Douglas Laing celebrated another anniversary only last year: The family-owned company turned 70, and on this occasion, in addition to other special bottlings, also launched a Big Peat 26 years old.
