Benriach Distillery to open new visitor center

Tastings will be offered on site from May 21, 2021

After a six-figure investment, the Benriach Distillery in Speyside will open the doors of a new visitor center on May 21, 2021. It is the very first visitor center that Benriach ever run in their history, which dates back to 1898.

Equipped with a bar, a tasting lounge and retail space, they look forward to welcoming visitors from the surrounding area, but also from all over the world - as soon as the Covid-19 situation will allow it. Tastings will start on May 21st, and distillery tours will follow as soon as possible.

Bookings for the tastings are required in advance. A maximum of 6 participants from two households are currently admitted to each tasting. More information is available on the Benriach website. The current status of the visit options can always be found there.

The Benriach Distillery has two different tastings on offer. One is “Sense of Flavour”, where visitors get an insight into the manufacturing process at Benriach and get to know the 10- and 12-year-old unpeated and peated whiskies from the distillery. In addition to taste the whisky neat, there is also the option of enjoying the single malts in cocktails.

In the "Barrels, Butts, and Barriques" tasting, the participants have the opportunity to delve deeper into the subject. They will have five drams of whisky from different cask maturations and discover the range of aromas from which Master Blender Dr. Rachel Barrie composed the new Benriach Range. The tasting is crowned by enjoying the Benriach 21 years.
