The Ardmore 30 Years is a 1987 Vintage, with 47.2 % , uncoloured and without . It was matured in refill ex-Bourbon casks and in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks. It is a limited edition, each bottle is individually numbered.
The producer’s tastingnotes for the Ardmore 30 Years Old
Nose: An initial burst of cinnamon. follows with hints of pineapple and pear, finishing with soft creamy notes.
Taste: Lingering warmth of liquorice and raisins, followed by a hint of mint. Adding creamy toffee develops and slight peat smoke with wood .
Finish: Long lasting, dry and sweet with wood spicyness
This hasn’t been the first bottling of a 30-years-old Ardmore. In 2008 another of that age had been released by the distillery, but it only was available in the US.
