Aberlour 14 Years Old joins the distillery’s core range

Matured in ex-Bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks

With the Aberlour 14 Years Old, Pernod Ricard closes a small gap in the Aberlour standard range: Up to now, in addition to editions with no age statement (such as the well-known and popular Aberlour a‘bunadh) the Aberlour 12, Aberlour 16 and Aberlour 18 Years Old have been constantly available. There was also a 14-year-old from time to time, but those were limited single cask editions so far. From the beginning of December 2020 the core range will change and we will be joined by a 14 year old Aberlour.

“Aberlour 14 YO fits harmoniously into our existing premium range. It combines excellent craftsmanship and experience with an understanding of a natural maturation process to create a unique single malt ”, Andreas Höhner, Head of Brand Management at Pernod Ricard Germany, is quoted in today's press release.

As for the other single malts of the core range, Aberlour uses whisky matured in Oloroso sherry barrels and bourbon barrels for the 14-year-old bottling.
