Comment: I have compare side by side this whisky to HP 10 and it seems to be very similar howevere more dry. Nothing really more to say than about HP 10. I may like 10 YO more for its honey sweetness.

Comment: A surprising transition from dominant sherry & fruit on the nose, to a subtle bitterness in its finish.
A very approachable, enjoyable whisky for many levels of of palate sophistication - disentangling the fruit & sweet complexity presents a particularly satisfying challenge.

Comment: Strong old oak notes arrive on the nose first, coupled with warm stone fruits and honey. A mild smokey overtone can be found. A warm burst of spices and oak set the base for heather flowers and honey to shine before a dry, bitter dark chocolate finish. There is a minor sherry note found though citrus and stone fruits hold a constant sweetness. A great all rounder dram!

Nosing: Complex, sweet and slight peat smoke, fresh tin tobacco, a little ocean spray
Taste: Sweet and smooth on arrival, a hint of mint and herbal notes leading to a light medicinal peat mid palate, with a pleasant intensity and oakiness. 
Finish: long and complex enough. 
Comment: This is one of the best/most complex 12 year old whiskeys I've had. Highly recommend this to someone who wants to begin trying whiskies with smoky characteristics as the smoky/peat flavours are not too intense and is well integrated with the sweetness of this spirit.
