Fruity with red apple, Sherry, vanilla and honey. There's a sort of menthol note that slowly dissipates as it sits in the glass.
Taste:

Medium sweet sherry arrival. Mixed fruitiness but mostly pears, and raisin with vanilla. There's a slight alcohol nip on the tip of the tongue but nothing excessive.
Finish:

Medium short and oaky with mixed fruits
Comment:
I thought I'd check out this version of Aberlour being a big fan of the A'bunadh series. I can see the distillery character shared between them but this is a mixed bag for me. The nose is good but the palate and particularly the finish are a little one dimensional. Still, it was a value proposition so I'm not overly disappointed, worth trying but nothing to write home about.

Taste: Strong fruity taste, domination of sherry notes, nuts, sweet, gingerbread
Finish: Not to long but nice, sweet, honey, slightly spicy
Comment: This is very nice whisky, maybe not for a original price but worthy good occasion in supermarkets. The taste is strong and nicely balanced. I don't have comparision with other Aberlour's howevere I like this one. The sweatness is so fruity, great to have it with a cake.

Finish:

Comment: Good all-round whisky. The sherry finish is notable, but not dominant at all. Quite interesting finish.
Nose: ginger, orange, honey, sea brizze, musk, elderflower, sandalwood
Palate: an explosion in your mouth and the tongue. Caramel, vanilla. Sandy, forest, highlands. Fresh and dried fruits. Amazing impression like eating an old book from the library.
Finish: Caramel, beeswax, ashes, muscovado
Truly wonderful Whisky
88/100
