The company
Elixir Distillers is a London-based independent bottler specialising in the creation, blending and bottling of premium spirits. The company was founded by brothers Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh, who established The Whisky Exchange in 1999. Elixir Distillers combines traditional techniques with modern expertise to develop products full of character and outstanding flavour. The Elixir Distillers team works closely with various distilleries. In 2022, the company expanded its portfolio by acquiring the Tormore distillery in Scotland and is also planning to build the Port-n-truan distillery on Islay.
In addition to the core whisky brands and Black Tot Rum, Elixir Distillers is continuously working on the development of new products and owns the global distribution rights for Tapatio Tequila outside of North and South America, contributing to the enrichment of the international spirits landscape.
The range
The Elixir Distillers range is characterised by a variety of bottlings, including both single malts and innovative blended whiskies. The focus is primarily on limited editions and cask strength releases.
The Single Malts of Scotland: A series of outstanding single malt bottlings from various Scottish distilleries.
Elements of Islay: This series focuses on Islay whiskies and presents characteristic bottlings in cask strength with different finishes.
Port Askaig: Named after a harbour on the east coast of Islay, this brand offers single malt whiskies that have been bottled at cask strength and reflect the typical Islay flavours.
Elixir Distillers has created a special series with the Macbeth Collection. Each bottle is dedicated to a different character from Shakespeare's play Macbeth and has been originally illustrated by the artist Sir Quentin Blake. The tasting notes were written in poetic form by spirits expert and author Dave Broom. All seven bottlings were released at cask strength.
