Glasgow-based Brave New Spirits is not only known as an independent bottler, but also operates as a blender and distiller. With high standards of quality and precision, the company uses the concept of Kirigami - a traditional Japanese paper-cutting technique - as a symbolic guide for its careful selection process. This begins with the cask selection and continues through to the bottling of the whisky range released in 2025.
Kirigami is a Japanese paper-cutting technique in which filigree patterns are created by folding and cutting - a symbol of precision and attention to detail and can also be found in the label design.
A special highlight in recent history: In 2024, Brave New Spirits was named Spirits Bottler of the Year at the Spirits Business Awards.
The range
The Brave New Spirits range impresses with exclusive and limited bottlings that focus on different flavour profiles and characteristics.
The Cask Masters series comprises eight outstanding bottlings from distilleries such as Craigellachie, Loch Lomond and Glenlossie:
- Golden Proof: single cask bottlings with a special focus on first fill casks that offer an intense flavour profile.
- Distiller's Cut: bottlings that emphasise the character of the distillery.
- Rare & Exclusive: Limited bottlings from very rare casks that are true collector's items.
The range is complemented by the Heroes series, which was developed exclusively for the German market, and the Whisky of Voodoo range.
