Hope this helps
Sometimes the distiller will change bottle and\or packaging. For example I bought a Glenmorangie 18 years old and it came in a very light beige colour box, and now it comes in a very dark brown packaging. I can't say for sure if that's what happened here but it is a possibility. I hope this helped a little.
This was a very interesting yet confusing review. The traditional Glenfarclas 12 (or at least the one that I had) came in a brown bottle, was MUCH lighter in color, and was pretty light in the sherry influence. It wasn't bad, but not at all what you had in your video. It might be worth mentioning to prevent other people from thinking that all Glenfarclas 12's are the same.
