Hmmm
All of them ... ;)
Very difficult to say. The Glenrothes is a malt of its own. Very intense and full. But not that mass compatible than the other two. It has a lot more of cask influence and is therefore a little bit oaky in the end.

The Single Barrel changes from batch to batch but has more ABV. But the actual release is not that Sherry intense.

I would go for the Triple cask knowing, that friends would empty that bottle faster than the other two.
very nice
Dear Horst,
very nice review again. So which one would you keep for cold winter nights: Balvenie 25 triple cask, Balvenie 25 single barrel
or Glenrothes 25 yo? Or some other?
Thank you and have a nice day.

Balvenie

Mr.
Horst, have you tried the previous Balvenie 15 yr single barrel? It only gives a general description of a European oak cask. How does it compare to this sherry cask single barrel? I have seen both at two different stores and I am wondering which I should purchase.
