imageLast Sunday, Feb 16, my S-I-L and I opened a 50ml bottle of Glenfarclas 30 that I brought back from a Glenfarclas distillery visit October 2019.  I'm a real Glenfarclas fan, with 17 and 25 expressions being my value favorites. I also have a full bottle (well, now half full!!)image of 40 that only gets opened on really special occasions. The 30 was a delicious dram!  The color was a dark amber, with long legs. The Glenfarclas distillery characteristic was there in all respects. On the nose it was decidedly sweet, pungent, full sherry, typical notes of dark fruit that Glenfarclas known for in all their older expressions.  Great mouthfeel, luscious & mouth watering, creamy with notes of butterscotch or caramel and spice, some chocolate. After taste was long, spicy with lingering sweet notes and spice. We let our drams "age" in our glasses for about 30 minutes before smelling/tasting. For as difficult as this is to acquire, it was a real treat!
