Hi there,
I'm planning a poker game with my work coleague and possibly my boss. Do you guys have any recommandation for a good bottle of whisky which is "novice friendly" and from an asian distillery? Budget is between 50 -200 eur.
Thanks
@poupouzzz Japanese whiskey is very good, but it is very difficult to find aged whiskey right now as there is a serious shortage. Nikka is a good distillery. If you can find some Nikka Pure Malt, you cant go wrong with that. Another one you'll find easily is Suntory Toki, which is rather inexpensive. I've not tried this one, but I hear it is mostly used for Highballs and other mixed drinks. Not so much for straight sipping.

well i went to a store and found these : taketsuru pure malt ,nikka coffey grain and a kavalan podium. All around 50 eur.
@poupouzzz The first two are good! I've never tried the third one though.

Kavalan is a Taiwanese whisky, and they make some pretty good liquid too. I have their concertmaster port cask on my shelf right now, and I like it quite a bit.
