From what I've read, this bottle is an anniversary bottle and is only being sold in somewhat limited qualities. Do you think this bottle will be worth money down the road?
“I’m a simple man. All I want is enough sleep for two normal men, enough whiskey for three, and enough women for four.” ~Joel Rosenburg
First I heard that it was to be an anniversary bottle and later I read that it had been added to the normal line up of whiskies due to the success of it.
Year and a half ago, I bought some bottles - one for a gift, one for collection, and the last one to drink.
I love peat, specially sweet peat, like sherry peated or port/madeira peated whiskies. IMHO, this tasted a bit dry and harsh - 8 years was not enough for this one. However, it had a very pleasant finish, for smoke-lovers.
It is a very interesting malt, but not your regular everyday dram.

I tried the Lagavulin 8 years old a year ago and I was disappointed. Too young for me.
