Simple question, but I absolutely love to hear what other people like to dram. I might end up buying your favorite whisky.

if I were to dream of having a dram... it'd surely be the Dalmore King Alexander III
@hwchoy I dream about that one too my friend..

I am afraid that will be a very expensive pleasure... There are three malts that come into my mind. First, there is Lagavulin 25yr 200th Anniversary Edition at cask strength and matured in 100% ex-sherry casks. A lovely dram! I tasted it twice at Oslo Whiskyfestival and fairly enjoyed it. Even better is Yamazaki 25yr. A combination of high-end quality casks, craftsmanship and striving for perfectionism that is hard to find anywhere else. It's leagues better than the 18-year-old expression which is already superb. Anyway, if you'd ask me for one Single Malt I'd truely recommend, it would be this gem: Caol Ila 30yr at cask strength. Caol Ila is often overlooked by peatheads and this bottle is the pinnacle of what the distillery has to offer!

the new spirit before it goes ion the bourbon barrels honestly it's so clean and smooth and full of flavour on the nose and taste and that before it goes in the barrel it should be a really nice dram
It changes over time Most often it is one of the last month
