Suggestions for Christmas Gift?

    Hello,
    Wondering if I can get some suggestions for a Christmas present for my father. His favorite whisky is Glenmorangie Signet, which I got him last year, but would like to give him something different, in the $100-200 price range. I've been looking around the whisky database and was thinking of the Glendronach 21 Year Parliament (?). His more "every day" whisky is one of the Four Roses (sorry, not sure which one!), if that helps at all.

    the Signet uses roasted malt which gives it a coffee aroma, how does your father like it?  nevertheless the GlenDronach 21 should be an excellent choice.

    The Glenfiddich Age of Discovery 19 years Red Wine Cask might be an interesting choice too.

    I would look out for Dalmore King Alexander III. It is produced by choosing comparable casks.

    I'm a sucker for Dalmores, but the King Alexander III definitely goes well with dark chocolate and christmas fruit cakes.

    Many thanks for all the suggestions! I've printed out a list and will take it to the liquor store and see what's available. I'm also going to give my dad the list so he can eventually try all of your picks.

    And @hwchoy, that makes sense, as my dad has always been a huge fan of very strong black coffee. He adores the Glenmorangie Signet and says it's the best whisky he has ever had (although he really only got into it the last few years).
