I've stumbled upon 2 whisky'a that are currently on sale. 1) Hibiki 12 years (not in production anymore) 2) Macallan edition no. 2 (limited edition) Any advice which I should get? As both are limited in quantity but for Hibiki it's a blended whisky and would cost SGD$209 while the Macallan Edition No. 2 would cost $198. Any advice ?
@thepeanut
I would go for Macallan.
@thepeanut
That Hibiki 12 is quite expensive. I paid less than half for a bottle in Japan. Not sure if it's worth SGD$ 209.

@thepeanut
I would also pick the Macallan.
@horst_s thanks for the suggestions!
After much thought I readings I've also decided that the macallan would be a better choice. There were tasting booths there too. After tasting I was definitely macallan in terms of taste and also in terms of price!
Thanks so much guys!
@thepeanut
where can you get the Edition 2 for SGD198? this weekend's Whisky Live?
@hwchoy Yeah at the whisky event at Suntec! I'm sorry for the late reply! There wasn't a notification on new replies ! Sorry!! I bought the edition 2 @ $198 and the double cask at $116! There were many sales going on! Hopefully they will hold another sales as good next year!
@thepeanut
interesting the limited edition is only $198 considering the amount of taxes on it. I couldn't make it last weekend, miss seeing my Dalmore idol
@thepeanut I normally buy at Changi DFS, which makes it very hard to pay for the kind of retail price in town.
Yeah, recently I bought a Aberlour 12 at DFS for $74 if i remembered correctly and retail prices in town were at an average of $120!
I was looking for Dalmore but according to their staff there do not carry dalmore. Wanted to get one though
@hwchoy Sorry some issue then the reply function didn't auto '@' you.
