    I have been working my way through the distillery tours on the vlog and watched the Woodford Reserve Distillery tour today. The master distiller wasn't entirely forthcoming with Ben when asked whether the whiskeys they were tasting were entirely pot-distilled. In fact, the standard Woodford expressions (Distillers Select, Rye, and Double Oaked) are all a mix of pot-distilled whiskey from the Woodford Reserve Distillery and column-distilled whiskey from Brown-Forman's distillery in Shively, KY. Both of the distillates use the same mash bill and the same type of barrels. The annual Masters Collection releases are the only ones that are completely pot-distilled.

    @Carlton
    Thank you for this comment. When I visited the Lobrot & Graham distillery (now Woodford Reserve) in 1998/1999 all the whiskey in Woodford Reserve came from the column stills of Early Times. Around the year 2000 I was told, that they have a mixture to slowly adapt to the new pot still style.

    But tasting the whiskey shows still too few spicy pot still style.
