Does anyone know much about collectors who might be interested in Johnnie Walker 1805. It is a ultra rare edition of Johnnie Walker as far as I understand.

This thing goes under the hammer for more than 25000€. Maybe you should consider going to auctions with this box.

I would love to sell it. Unfortunately going to an auction house seems like a waste of money. I figure the whisky.com community would be the right folks to see the value of the item.

I don't believe any of them have been sold at retail.

I would expect online auctions are your best bet, the secondary market prices are usually about 40-50% less than shops as they don't have the margins/overheads/tax to add to the price. If you were to sell to a shop they would usually offer prices around that of online auctions but you are missing out of the potential for bidding wars etc.

I've seen a few JW 1805's go at auction and it usually sells for around £11,000.

I did spot this JW at auction from today, it is limited to only 25 bottles and I would expect it's value to be greater than that of the 1805 (although if it is bought, I would expect those individuals to also be interested in the 1805).
