Greetings -
New to the forum. I've been enjoying single malt Scotch most of my adult life, and have acquired a taste for bourbon since moving to Virginia.
Celebrating my 60th with some friends this weekend, and am looking to pick up a bottle or 3 to mark the occasion.
I've acquired the Glenmorangie 18, since I enjoy the 10. I'd welcome additional recommendations. Absent multiple stellar exhortations about a life-altering experience, I'd prefer to stay below $150/bottle. Negotiable. Less is more.
Thoughts on Glenfarclas?
My known preferences are below. Not a fan of overly peaty. I do like the Oban 14.
Like:
Glenmorangie 10
Aberlour 12 Double Cask
Balvenie 12 DoubleWood
Macallan 12
Oban 14
Highland Park 12 is *okay*, but I'd not buy it again. On the fence about the Bowmore 15.
Not a fan of Laphroaig 10. At all.
Your thoughts invited and much appreciated.
