I have tasted the Deanston 18 years old, and I found the whisky is quite light in aroma, and the distillery's character of maltiness is quite strong, so I think they used the hogshead cask many times before filling the Deanston 18. Whether the hogshead is used by American white oak or European oak? Is there any sherry wetted procedure before filling the whiskey?
