Johnnie Walker - Walking direction of "striding man"

I have a bottle of JW Green label, bottled back in 2005. It is a one Liter bottle 43%. Age statement is 15 Years.

Nothing special this far except that this version is dicontinued I assume.

If I recall, the "Striding Man" on the logo walked backwards (right to left) until 1999. So I would expect the striding Man walking forward (left to right) on this particular bottle. And so he does on the carton box and the paper labels on the bottle. However, on the relief (carving) of the bottle itself the Man walks fom right to left.

Meanwhile I saw quite some pictures of similar bottles and non of those showed the same error.

Would this be a unique mistake or is this common practice?
