Tried this today,rather good,with nice full spicy flavours and great finish of oak and spice.Toffee and fruits too.Highly recommend and great value at the momemt!!
Agreed. On opening was initially a bit dry on the finish but a few fingers down the bottle has lost that fresh opened bottle edge and is a bit more rounded. Not my fav Speyside but I'm definitely enjoying it.
@Ian_Crombie I rank Glenlivet 18 in my top 10 best whisky experiences ever.
When you open the bottle, the whole room explodes in orange blossom and honeysuckle. It is a very, very well put together dram.
Well worth the asking price.
Yea. One of my favourite.
@James_Jackson I got it for £63!!!
@Ian_Crombie That was about the price I got it at too - It was a flash sale on Amazon.
At that price, there's very little that can beat it in terms of price the quality ratio.
@Ian_Crombie I scored a bit of a bargain, I managed to half refill my bottle of Glenlivet 18 for basically peanuts - I got a bunch of miniatures that were on special offer only £3 each (!), I simply grabbed the last 6 of them they had, allowed them to "marry" in the bottle for a few weeks, and bingo, half refilled for a fraction of the cost!
Will be sampling either tonight or tomorrow as the aroma has just opened out. The miniatures have been marrying in the bottle of about 2 weeks now. There was nothing on the nose in the bottle until yesterday. Then boom! Exactly like it should smell.
@James_Jackson Nice catch!
I completely agree with you and want to share Target Coupons that can help you to save your money on online shopping even I tried it and had a great experience.
