So my girlfriend just got me a personalized charred oak whisky barrel for our anniversary (She's a keeper). Just curious to see if anyone has one of these and has ever successfully aged/improved whisky with it? I've thought about a few options. I may put some sherry or stout in for a few weeks to give it a nice finish. Not sure yet. Any thoughts?
