So I've mentioned this before in a previous thread, but Jameson Gold Reserve was the whiskey that started my passion for whiskey. I received a bottle as a gift and immediately fell in love. I'm not the only one who loves this blend. Ralfy (of Ralfy.com) is also a fan. He gave my favorite description i've ever heard to this blend: "If this bottle had an arse, the sun would be shining out of it". I must agree!
Unfortunately, Jameson has discontinued this blend. There are bottles of it laying around at a few liquor stores in my area still but when those are gone, thats it. Does anyone think that this whiskey will be a collectible someday? Would it be advantageous to buy a few bottles and put them away? They are a bit steep in price. $100 a bottle for blended Irish is pretty hefty. Buying 2 bottles would prevent me from trying anything new for at least awhile. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Cheers!

If you love that whisky and it has been discontinued then it is worth the money, even if it is blended. Don't think that Jameson is that collectible but buying two bottles will give you good memories and something to go back to in the future, IMHO.
Collectable bottle here.
