My first tasting notes in this forum and one of my favorite "bang for your buck" Whiskys:

    Category: Scotch Single Malt
    Distillery: Benromach
    Region: Speyside
    Age: 10 years old
    Strength: 43%
    chill filtered, no colouring
    80% ex-bourbon, 20% ex-sherry casks

    Notes:

    The nose:
mineral smokiness, some spices, some grass, light sweetness, some alcohol, cedar wood

    The taste:
sweet spices, light smoke, some waxes, ginger, powerful for 43%, a slight oaky bitterness

    The finish:
pretty long, salty, smoky, good mixture of dry- and sweetness
