Hahaha! it was standing on top of a bookshelf hidden away from view But at least I can enjoy the 18yo for a long time now.
I picked up the Glenlivet 15 and Glenmorangie 12 Quinta Ruban. Both are wonderful!
Couple of weeks ago I picked up Glenmorangie Signet.
I was thinking about Glenfiddich 21yo Reserva Rum Cask Finish or Glenfiddich 19yo Age of Discovery Madeira Cask Finish but chose the Glenmorangie. Can't decide which of those two to buy next time when I get a chance to visit the shop. Any recommendations?
AoD 19 Madeira would be significantly cheaper than the 21 yo rum cask finish. It's a bit dry and spiced as per Madeira. You might try AoD 19 red wine finish it is sweeter and floral than the Madeira.
I picked up three bottles. Tomatin 18y and 14y port cask nad also a limited Edition Glen Scotia for Sweden.
This youngster has been ordered last monday and arrived today!
Disclaimer: this is a special bottle to me. Despite being small, Portugal has a wine production tradition, probably with as much wine brands as belgians have beer brands. Almost all of the wine I buy is from this region, Douro - the same where the famous Port wine is made. And more than half of my family is from this region, too.
So, this is a "marriage" from Islay and Douro. The perfect marriage - at least in the paper.
and many of my favourite Dalmores are also finished in Douro port pipes.
Perfect whisky. Would be interested in that one myself. And port wine is good vintage port
Just got this Longmorn 16 yesterday. Beautiful packaging!
