    Hello,

I enjoy scotch, I order it whenever I go to a bar, but I know almost nothing about different scotches. I am looking to buy a bottle as a gift of something good. I am looking to spend about 100 us dollars, and I want a scotch that is generally well respected and held in high regard. I'm afraid that's as specific as I can be as I don't know a whole lot. Thanks You!

    Hello,

I'm not sure what kind of flavour you do enjoy.

    Lighly smoky
    Highland Park 18y.o

    Sweeter
    Glenfarclas 25 y.o

    Spicy
    Talisker 18

    Smoky
Laphroaig 15 years -> Special bottling 200 year old distillery

Personally I would advice you to buy two bottles with price of about 50 bucks, because I think you get a lot of good stuff for 50. The 100 ones are mostly better, but not worth 50 bucks.

    Best Regards

I will second the HP18 and Talisker 18 and Glenfarclas 25. If you cant stretch to the Glenfarclas 25, the Glenfarclas 21 is equally good.
