I have tasted the Glenfiddich 12 y o, and find the light fresh taste with apple/pear tones nice as an alternative to heavier peated and/or sherried whiskies now and then.

I would like to try something a bit more complex, but within the same general direction of taste and freshness.

I have also tried the Glenfiddich 14 y o Rich Oak, but I find that one just oakier, not much more.

    Any suggestions?

Why not try the 18 year old Glenfiddich?
For me this one has distinctively more apple and toffee aromas and is also more complex than the 12 year old - and still is adequatelay priced at about 50 Euros.

I bought the Dalwhinnie 15 y o. It made it for me, very nice single malt!

I just had the dalwhinnie distillers edition last week. I liked that a lot.
