Dram Tasting!

So where does this superb Whisky tour take you? We will see so much in a week that you will wonder how we do it! Saying that, you will not be rushed so much that you do not get out of the luxury coach! We know what we are doing and how to impress you - and believe me, this will impress you! Cost is not so important as the experience and this is just what you will get - an experience of a lifetime!

Day 1
We will escort you from Glasgow airport, to Edinburgh, where we stay for the first night. Staying in our Capital, exploring the sights and sounds of this vibrant city. Tonight we dine at Leith at our favourite seafood restaurant, followed by an evening at our whisky club; THE SCOTCH MALT WHISKY ASSOCIATION Overnight at the Royal Scots Club, Edinburgh.

Day 2
Another day in the Capital City, this morning we take a trip to Rosslyn Chapel, now world famous thanks to the Da Vinci code movie. This is a stunning visit so full of history, unknown secrets and myths. After the visit here we visit our first ditillery; Glenkinchie. The home of 'The Edinburgh Malt' is located in the rolling farmland of East Lothian and houses an exhibition in the listed red brick buildings. After a tour and taste here, we return to Edinburgh for some final free time here in this “Athens of the North”. Overnight Edinburgh.

Day 3
We move north this morning, our first stop is Perth and one of Scotland's most hidden castles: Elcho (pictured at right). We drive through the scenic Scottish countryside and start the visit driving through a Scottish working farm. The castle itself is a wee gem. We continue north again through through the city of Perth to Highland Perthshire and Aberfeldy. Here we visit Dewars World of Whisky. We offer you the FABULOUS Signature Tour! - we don't define exactly how many whiskies you will taste, but you will sample: Signature Super Premium (£180 per bottle!), Aberfeldy 21 year old single malt, Aberfeldy 12 year old. AND Taste direct from cask (in the filling store -
currently a 22 year old Aberfeldy in original cask - very atmospheric!) Plus - we're happy to let you taste others from the range. The key thing about this is personal treatment, guided tasting, and the cask tasting is pretty special. We then check into our accommodation. Step through the doorway of this Country House Hotel, and into the arms of a classic warm, Scottish welcome. A former Victorian mansion, the Pine Trees Hotel is small and select, combining luxurious accommodation with individual service and attention, in the glorious setting of the Scottish Highlands. Dinner awaits.

Day 4
A day trip to the land of whisky; Speyside. With a tour to the Glenfiddich distillery (pictured at right), with an extra special tasting session included. This is a superb way to spend a few hours here in Scotland. A light lunch will be offered before the tasting. Following the Glenfiddich tour we will return to Pitlochry via a different route, one that takes us over mountains, through glens and wee villages, as we wind our way to the Pine Trees for dinner.

Day 5
See’s us heading north again to Dalwhinnie, where we make a distillery visit (pictured at right). Then driving through the stunning Badenoch and Glen Spean scenery to Spean Bridge, where we take a light lunch at the woollen mill. We set off again driving towards the west coast and through Fort William to Glencoe, our most infamous glen. A quick stop here before heading to our hotel, the George at Inveraray. Dinner here is at your own selection from the hotel menu, a mouth watering menu to be exact and a fantastic hotel bar!

Day 6
A relaxed fully cooked Scottish breakfast, before setting out for a visit to an amazing Scottish Kirk (church), the like of you will have not seen before: St Conan’s Kirk (pictured at right). Then to Oban, nestling beneath the steep cliff that overlooks Oban, one of Scotland's oldest sources of single malt scotch whisky is but a stone's throw from the sea. You will enjoy a tour including a tasting here in Oban. From here we take you to EE USK Restaurant on the pier in Oban where we have arranged a light lunch. Our day continues with a guided tour of Scotland’s ancient historic past, as we visit Kilmartin Glen, see and touch 5000 years of Celtic history here. The day ends back at Inveraray. Dinner this evening is open for your own ideas and selections. At 9pm we gather at the hotel to a private room for a whisky tasting spectacular. Enjoy a selection of superb Scottish malts to round off the evening!

Day 7
A final day today as we take you towards your final hotel, Glasgow. We drive through stunning scenery, including the glen “rest and be thankful” taking us to Loch Lomond. From here it is a short drive to Scotland’s largest city Glasgow, where we check in to Marriott Hotel in the city centre. Dinner tonight is at your leisure here in Glasgow, so much choice! For those of you with the energy we will escort you to a couple of local pubs for some local chatter and drinks.

Day 8
Sad farewell to you all, as we transfer to the airport for those flying on, or a wave goodbye at the city centre for those who are not! An excellent tour. Haste ye back!
