Cool Ebay

Hi guys,
Iv built up my collection of jack daniels through ebay aquiring bottles such as monogram, 1895 replica, white rye etc, however over the last week or so all bottles seemed to have been delisted from the uk site.
Is this a glitch or does anyone know the reason why, even tho details state they are collectors items.

I believe the news program 20/20 did a 'sting' on Ebay when they followed an 18 year old that they got to buy a bottle of vodka[inexpensive] by bidding on Ebay.
Once the 18 year old took delivery - they broke the story.
I did not see the initial broadcast but got it from a Google search. If the seller had checked on the age of the buyer - it shouldn't have gone thru as a sale.
I've sold liquor on Ebay and never checked BUT I wasn't selling lower end items so I was quite sure some teenager wasn't a buyer/bidder.
Since Ebay hasn't figured out how to deal with this age issue, atleast so far, they had no choice given the negative press/air time on television!

Ebay US "temporarily suspended" activity of alcohol related items on Sept. 21, 2012.

I didn't see a similar notice in ebay UK announcements but I might have overlooked it
or perhaps it was included in a user agreement update (or maybe they just arbitrarily
stopped sales with no notice.)

Edit to add - ebay UK alcohol policy:

"eBay doesn't allow the sale of alcoholic beverages. Members outside the UK aren't
permitted to sell alcohol to members residing in the UK.

"Keep in mind that these rules for the sale of alcohol apply only to items for sale on
eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie. Alcohol may not be sold on some international eBay sites
depending on local law. Please check the rules of each international eBay site to find
out what is allowed."

I would recommend that you go onto Facebook......type in Jack Daniels as a search......there are no less than 5 different FB sites that buy/sell/ trade in JD. Have fun
Another way is to try a member on here called dustybourbone, send him a pm or check his FB page
