Default Johnnie Walker RED

Dicko,

I can help you with this one a bit...Your bottle dates to between 1960 & 1970.

I compared 4 aspects of your bottle to determine dating, as found below...

Cap-Style: The cork "Plug" was last used in 1969 (Screw-cap from 1970+)
Shoulder-label: Unclear in photo, but appears to have a Royal Warrant.
***(The oldest 'dated' example I have is from 1966..but could be earlier.)
Main-label: 1st "Johnnie Walker" over "Red Label" with no Crest = 1960
Footer-label: 1st time Figure incorporated into the label = 1952 (X-mas)

Between these "dating points", we have a bottle made between 1960-1970.
(However, 2 points of interest that could help refine that dating would be the
content weight marking, and the actual issuing date of the Royal Warrant.)

Cheers,
Walter C Hurst
